Going above and beyond
Toyota RAV4 brake-pad replacement
A brake-pad replacement that needed an extra visit, the right replacement fittings and plenty of patience with seized rear pins.

Taking the time to do the job properly
We attended within 24 hours of the customer’s first contact to replace the brake pads all round. With the first front wheel removed, we found that the old stainless-steel pad fitting hardware and shims had corroded away.
We explained that we would rather do the job properly than refit the pads with damaged hardware. With the customer’s agreement, we reassembled the vehicle, ordered the correct replacement fittings and updated the quotation to include them.
A return visit and some stubborn rear pins
We returned on 2 November to complete the work. The front pads and new fittings went together smoothly. The rear brake-pad retaining pins, however, were severely rusted and seized, requiring patience and a combination of techniques to free them and complete the rear pad replacement.
While working underneath the vehicle, we also spotted a badly worn rear differential mounting bush. Its replacement has been arranged as a separate follow-up job.
The customer was delighted with the work and left the review below.

Highly recommend
Went above and beyond with an issue of locked pins while changing brake pads on my old rav 4... would not be defeated when most mechanics would have said it couldn't be done. Many thx.
